Natalie Bork  was born in 1976 in Buffalo NY. She sold her first art piece at eight years of age to a teacher that was moved by her abstract floral composition; at that time her passion for art was ignited and grew into the remarkable career she has today as a professional artist. Natalie studied art at Buffalo State College in Buffalo, NY and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina where she is currently pursing her Master of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting. In addition to her Graduate Degree studies and her career as a professional artist, Natalie is a Fine Arts teacher at the prestigious Charlotte Country Day School, in Charlotte North Carolina. Natalie’s contemporary art style is well-known throughout Charlotte metro and is emerging in other cities. She has a strong following of private collectors and has been featured in galleries in Buffalo, Charlotte, and Atlanta.

I have always painted what I can not speak and as an artist I draw on nature and the human form as the basic energy for my designs. When nature and the human element are out of balance then our sense in our world can become less harmonious. I strive to find a balance between opposite forms, in my paintings, to inspire one to discover their perfect balance.

My recent Control/Chaos series contains strong horizontal line(s) that are juxtaposed with loose, thick pallet knife marks that suggests landscape. These subtleties of subject matter and limited color pallet allow an intimate dialogue to transpire between the painting and the viewer.

In contrast to my architectural series where tension lies between togetherness and separateness the Control/ Chaos series possesses a magnetic attraction that occurs when the control elements mingle with the chaotic ones.It is an on-going magnetism that is captured through the aesthetic lenses of a man made crisp line and loose, gesture lines.

"My creations arouse, inspire and implore one to discover his or her perfect balances." - Natalie Bork
